Renewal of chiropractic registration

The following frequently asked questions (FAQ) answer questions specific to Chiropractic registration renewal.

For general information please see the registration renewal page on the Ahpra website.

You are due to renew your registration with the Chiropractic Board of Australia (Board) annually by 30 November.

Look out for a reminder to renew from Ahpra as confirmation that online renewal is open. You will get email reminders several times during the renewal period, so use our online services to check that Ahpra has your current contact details. Be sure to check the national register to confirm your registration details.

During the past year, you may have undertaken some COVID related learning activities and these can be counted towards your CPD.

Some examples of COVD-safe CPD options that would not require you to meet in large gatherings or to travel include:

  • online learning such as webinars and conferences and internet research
  • written reflections on experience in day-to-day clinical practice
  • reading books, publications and journals relevant to your practice
  • quality assurance activities, such as accreditation, clinical audits or review of records, and
  • professional or interprofessional interactions such as meetings, case reviews, and clinical forums which can be undertaken online.

Many training organisations are offering online programs that meet the training requirements for CPR and First Aid. If any component of your training is not current, we encourage you to undertake the training as soon as practicable. You can continue to practise in the meantime. You will be expected to fully meet this requirement when renewing in 2022.
