Dr Wayne Minter AM is the Director of the Frenchs Forest Chiropractic Centre, President of the Chiropractic Council of New South Wales and has been a chiropractor for over 40 years. Dr Minter was appointed as a member of the Chiropractic Board of Australia in November 2013 and Chair in September 2014.

Dr Minter has served professional and academic institutions in many capacities including being a member of the NSW Chiropractors Registration Board, Adjunct Professor in the School of Chiropractic and Sports Science, Murdoch University, and Chiropractic Adviser to the Australian Government Department of Veterans' Affairs.

Dr Minter was appointed Member of the Order of Australia in 2015 for significant service to chiropractic health, through education programs, clinical practice standards, and patient management.

Abbey Chilcott

Dr Abbey Chilcott has been in private practice in Western Australia since 2008. She holds a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Murdoch University, with a Graduate Certificate in Population Health from The University of Western Australia.

In addition to her work in private practice, Abbey is a clinical supervisor at Murdoch University Chiropractic Clinic and is involved in sessional teaching for radiography & radiology. She has previously sat on Course Advisory Committees, Research Boards and examined practical clinical competency for CCEA. She is involved with Chiropractic Australia as a student liaison.

She was appointed to the Chiropractic Board of Australia in 2018 and serves on the Board’s Registration, Notifications and Compliance Committee.

Colleen Papadopoulos

Colleen Papadopoulos is a practicing Chartered Governance Professional and director of own company, with a portfolio in member-driven not for profit and charity organisations including Queenslanders With Disability Network (QDN) where she serves as Company Secretary. Colleen is consumer member to the NPS MedicineWise Consumer Advisory Group and community member to the Clinical Advisory Group (Knees Protheses), Prostheses List Advisory Committees & sub-committees, Australian Department of Health.

Prior to taking up appointment to the Chiropractic Board of Australia Colleen was appointed to the Ahpra Community Advisory Council (formerly Community Reference Group), where she served two consecutive terms (2016-2021). Colleen’s service to the Board is informed by over 25 years’ experience in governance and public administration, largely devoted to understanding and addressing complex social and organisational issues in the health and community services sector (both US and Australia). Colleen is a Fellow Member of Governance Institute Australia, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK), and Member of Women on Boards.

Colleen was appointed to the Chiropractic Board of Australia in 2021 and serves on the Board’s Registration, Notifications and Compliance Committee.

Kenneth Riddiford

Mr Ken Riddiford

Community member from Queensland

Qualifications:
  • DipBusMgt, Cert IV Small Business, Cert IV TAE, Cert III OHS, and Stat planning units from Griffith University.

Ken Riddiford is the Founder and Director of Constructing Futures; building strong foundations. Ken works with businesses and organisations to align their activity with their strategy to minimise risk and unlock value to maximise sustainability.

He also has great experience and success in the governance and compliance space. This is complimented by sound methods to clarify strategy, while implementing the right tactics to convert the intent to positive and effective operational outcomes.

Ken has over 20 years of experience working at the Senior Management and CEO level in a variety of settings and systems including government, not for profit and the private sectors. Some organisations that Ken has worked closely with have secured national recognition awards.

Ken was appointed to the Chiropractic Board of Australia in 2021 and serves on the Board’s Registration, Notifications and Compliance Committee.

Michael Shobbrook

Dr Michael Shobbrook AM is a registered chiropractor, with over 25 years in clinical practice and 20 years working in regulation and accreditation, both locally and internationally.

Since 2010 he has been actively involved in National Registration and Accreditation Scheme (NRAS), serving in roles including Chair, Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia; President, Councils on Chiropractic Education International; and Deputy Chair, Health Professions Accreditation Collaborative Forum.

Dr Shobbrook is a member of the Australian Chiropractors Association's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Rural and Remote Practitioner Network, and served on its Continuing Professional Development Committee. He was a Steering Group Member for the International Chiropractic Regulatory Society and prior to the commencement of NRAS he served as President, ACT Chiropractors and Osteopaths Registration Board.

Dr Michael Shobbrook was awarded Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AM), for significant service to the chiropractic profession through leadership in education, accreditation and development programs. He was appointed to the Chiropractic Board of Australia in November 2021 and serves on the Board’s Registration, Notifications and Compliance Committee.

Dr Arcady Turczynowicz

Dr Arcady Turczynowicz

Practitioner member from South Australia

Qualifications:
  • B.Sc., M.Chiro.

Dr Arcady Turczynowicz has been in private practice in SA since 1992. He was appointed to the Chiropractic Board of Australia in 2017 and serves on the Board’s Registration, Notifications and Compliance Committee.

He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Adelaide and Master of Chiropractic from Macquarie University.

Dr Turczynowicz went on to lecture and tutor for Macquarie University’s School of Chiropractic.

He has held positions of Board member and Secretary with the Chiropractors Association of Australia (SA), he also served as a Board member of the South Australian Chiropractic and Osteopathy Board.

Dr Arcady Turczynowicz is a long-standing volunteer with the South Australian Country Fire Service, he currently holds an officer rank and has been awarded a National Medal.

Alisa Wood

Dr Ailsa Wood (nee Patterson)

Practitioner member from Queensland

  • B.Sc., M.Chiro.

Dr Ailsa Wood has been in private practice in Brisbane since 2000. Her qualifications include Bachelor of Science from The University of Queensland and a Master of Chiropractic from Macquarie University.

Dr Wood has served many years on state and national boards, committees and associations. Prior to the appointment to the Board, she was a member of the Chiropractors Board of Queensland for four years, member of the Chiropractors’ Association of Australia, Queensland (CAAQ) executive for six years, and President of the CAAQ for three of those years.

Dr Wood was appointed to the Chiropractic Board of Australia in 2015 and serves on the Board’s Registration, Notifications and Compliance Committee.
